Full Perimeter Scaffold for Solar Installation Wirral

Overview

A detached two storey house property located on the Wirral was having solar panels fitted. They required safe stable scaffold access all the way around the property to enable the solar installers to work safely and productively without compromising on site productivity, existing finishes within the garden or access around the building.

A5G Access were contacted to design and erect a full perimeter scaffold solution for this project. Scaffold was secure and compliant from the first lift until the strike.

The Brief

The footprint of the property led to access being difficult in certain areas. As the garden dropped away from the rear of the property, careful consideration needed to be taken on base heights. There was also a rear extension that was only single storey with a conservatory above. Both of these areas needed protection from work taking place above them.

Our Approach

Our CISRS Scaffolders designed a TG20 compliant Independent scaffold with fully boarded working platforms and full edge protection around the roofline area. Build commenced following natural levels of the property, taking care to protect the extension area below.

Access were inspected on handover, then again whilst on site with any adjustments being made. All paperwork was provided on each visit so that the installation team could work with full confidence.

Result

Solar installers were able to complete the works safely and on time, without any access issues or need for mid-job adaptations. Once works were complete we returned to cleanly strike the scaffold, leaving the property and garden how we found it.
