Re-Roofing a detached house
Overview
Situated in Rhos-on-Sea, this detached three-storey house required access scaffolding in order to carry out a full re-roof safely and securely. This had to blend in with existing site works without damaging nearby gardens or features.
A5G Access were contacted to design and erect full perimeter scaffolding around the property and its single-storey extension. From first lift to final strike, our scaffold stayed safe and secure with zero incidents throughout the hire period.
The Challenge
Due to the nature of the building and its surroundings, providing access was a challenge. Sloping gardens near the front of the property required precise base levels throughout assembly, while the rear extension and conservatory needed safeguarding from falls of work.
Our Approach
The CISRS-qualified team at A5G Access designed a fully independent scaffold with boarded platforms and comprehensive edge protection around the entirety of the roof. Working around the buildings levels, extra protection was added where the extension sat beneath areas of work.
Upon delivery, the scaffold was inspected by our team at handover and re-checked throughout its hire duration. All documentation was provided ensuring the roofing contractor had peace of mind to work safely and swiftly.
“We needed the scaffold up so our guys could get on with the job. A5G got it there within two days and it was perfect. Solid as anything and exactly where we needed it. Couldn’t ask for more!”
Result
Thanks to A5G Access attending for both scaffold delivery and strike down, the re-roofing project was completed safely with no delays or problems. Our clean strike left the property and gardens exactly how we found them.
